"Remarks on the Release"
This time the new book Sword is on the shelves. It has been almost five years since the last time it was released in the snow.
First of all, let me explain that if you are willing to subscribe, you can support it. If you find it troublesome, you don’t need to subscribe for the sake of subscribing.
The new book will have a lot of words, so it is estimated that there will be such a long interval until the next time the new book is released. Because the initial 50,000-word setting of the book Jianlai can roughly tell my confidence. Confidence does not lie in the fact that a setting requires 50,000 words, but in the perspective outside the setting - I am not afraid of drama. Toru, because the real world structure of Jianlai will only be bigger than the setting, and much bigger.
For example, I want to create a complete Taoist inheritance system in the new book, rather than just borrowing a few names from our traditional classical literature.
In my new book, I want to explain my own understanding of the convergence of the three religions and reproduce the great trend of the various schools of thought. I want to write about my own journey of spiritual cultivation in Xianxia novels, and at the same time, We must put away our previous prejudice against “proving the Tao through force”.
I want to outline the relationship between scholars governing the country, saving the country, and harming the country, and then write about the real scholars in my mind. These scholars should ask questions and be able to truly solve the problems themselves.
I want to "cash out" the various prosperous times, chaos and nodes in Chinese history in the new book, and fully apply the temperament, courage, regrets, feats, etc. of those heroes to myself. In the works, like nails, they are driven into the work hard, bringing a strong spirit to the work, rather than just ripples floating on the surface.
I want to write about the difficult choices between loyalty and filial piety, family and country, the difficulty of balancing love and law, the differences and similarities between chivalry and immortality, and the battle between the inherently good and evil nature of human nature.
I hope to write about some people who are kind in nature but never abuse their kindness, and some people who are upright but not pedantic and can bring their own beauty to this world. There are also some people who are extremely knowledgeable but not necessarily very moral. They even want to write about people who are stupid, bad, and truly bad to the core. I want to write about all kinds of living beings in the world, and I want to write interestingly, and write a series of stories they lead to, strive to be exciting, and at the same time, the quality of the writing is above the standard, and ultimately create a complete, balanced, and full of wonders in the fairy world.
After talking about these big and empty things, let’s talk about some digressions besides the introduction.
As for the ending of the extra story in the snow and the peach blossom, we will try to finish it in September.
Actually, the extra chapter in the snow, which you have ridiculed as "Xu Baozao's Travel Diary", is the first of the three chapters I originally envisioned. The real complete extra chapter should require about 500,000 words. But now I can only give a staged ending. From now on, I will upload a chapter of Snow Extras probably every week. Or if possible, just keep writing intermittently.
Peach blossom is different from Xuezhong, it will be a one-time ending.
Back to the topic.
The first volume of Jianlai is called "The Bird in the Cage". NowAfter writing nearly 400,000 words, the general context and some foreshadowings have actually come to light. The small town in Lizhudongtian is actually an advanced copy in other novels. The protagonist came here, took away an opportunity or a treasure, and left. Now, let’s change to the next protagonist and continue. As for what the NPCs in this dungeon think, whether their lives are worth anything, and whether they have anything they want to say and tell the world, does anyone care?
In the first volume, Song Jixin, Ma Kuxuan, Zhao Yao, Liu Xianyang, etc. are actually more like the protagonists than the protagonists. This is of course not a very flattering approach, especially in the first volume. For a lot of space, the protagonist seems to have completely disappeared, and his character in the early stage is also very vague. He looks like a single-minded bad guy. In fact, I am not worried, even if I am confident that the second and third volumes after the first volume will be released. In this book, Chen Ping'an's image is really raised up, and he will be used as the only main line to advance the plot of the story. But what the author thinks is one thing after all, and what the readers' perceptions are is another thing, because readers will only follow The most basic rule - the story has to be good. So I made some detailed changes for this purpose, such as making some characters appear slightly earlier.
The new book has a lot of foreshadowing, which is completely different from the one in the snow. In the snow, you are sliding on watermelon rinds to where you are, so each chapter is particularly (what I think) romantic and freehand, and hearty. , it wasn’t until the second volume that it began to converge. But Jianlai is very different, there are foreshadowings everywhere. Just like some readers thought Song Jixin was quite funny at first, so he would definitely be the protagonist's good brother in the future. In fact, I was in a dark mood at the time, because I gave a hint in the book from the beginning. When Liu Xianyang was almost beaten to death in Mud Bottle Alley, what was Song Jixin doing? They were clapping their hands on the wall, lest the world would not be in chaos. Such a ruthless person can become an emperor and a hero, but the protagonist wants to be his friend?
Of course, this is a small thing caused by reading too fast, and it is harmless. The first volume of Jian Lai is indeed quite annoying and dragging to watch. I hope you can read it a little slower, otherwise you may miss a lot of details and foreshadowings.
Furthermore, the world of cultivation shown in the first volume of Jian Lai seems to be all about intrigues and deceit, with no celestial spirit or masterful demeanor at all. How many pure people can there be in a place of right and wrong? Of course there are immortals who live in peace with the world, but how come these people come to Lizhu Cave to compete for opportunities? Well, okay, actually there are some, such as the young Taoist priest Lu Chen, who is very chic, and Liu Baqiao from Fengleiyuan. Behind his talkativeness, there is actually a lot of toughness, "I hold many truths in my heart, and I think Let’s talk to the world.” Liu Baqiao’s statement is actually what I, the author, want to say.
I have a lot to say to the world.
Thank you even more for being willing to listen to my talk.
I very much hope that one day in the future, long, long after "Sword Comes" is finished, someone will occasionally think of it, and there will be a beautiful feeling of "the sword comes with words, and it is as warm as jade".
The rest and more are all in the book.
